Despite efforts to recruit ideologically aligned lawyers and an exodus of over 10,000 attorneys from federal service since Trump took office for a second term, campaign finance records indicate continued strong support for Democratic committees from DOJ employees. Common recipients included committees associated with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Jon Ossoff. You couldn’t find a more spectacular failure if you hired a blind dog to hunt for truffles in a concrete parking lot. They chased out over ten thousand attorneys? Great. The ones who stayed behind are apparently using their leftover lunch money to fund Jon Ossoff. What a stunning rebuke of the boss’s entire fucking worldview. Imagine being so profoundly, cosmically shit at your job of ideological enforcement that your own employees’ bank statements are laughing in your face. They didn’t just fail to install loyalists; they managed to turn the DOJ’s remaining payroll into a goddamn Democratic PAC auxiliary.
