The Nasser Medical Complex reported two deaths from Israeli shelling in al‑Mawasi, Khan Younis, and several injuries, including a child. The Palestinian news agency Wafa said an Israeli drone strike east of Deir el‑Balah killed one person, and an attack on al‑Rashid Street near Hamad Hospital killed another, wounding several others. The Popular Resistance Committees condemned the university attacks and called for international mediation. UNESCO estimates that nearly 95 % of Gaza’s higher‑education campuses have been destroyed or damaged since the conflict began in October 2023.
