The facts
Tomorrow is September 11, 2026. That is 25 years after 19 al Qaeda hijackers flew four planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. The FBI says all 19 were trained by al Qaeda. Fifteen came from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt, one from Lebanon. Nearly 3,000 people died.
An X account that posts as if it is 2001, named 2001 Live, handle @25YearsAgoLive, is about to replay the day in real time. Newsweek reported the plan on September 8. The account's own FAQ, posted September 7, says about 410 posts, one every three minutes, two a minute between 8:46 and 10:30 a.m. ET. Manual. No scheduled tweets. No graphic photos. Curated by Manny Marotta, who wrote he was too young to remember it.
The National September 11 Memorial, via Newsweek, estimates 100 million Americans are now too young to remember 9/11.
Our take
The men who did it were Arab. They were Muslim. They were al Qaeda. Saudi, Emirati, Egyptian, Lebanese. That is the FBI page, not a mood board. You can light a candle. You can argue about Saudi intelligence. You can cry at a firehouse. You cannot turn 19 jihadis into a weather event because the word Muslim makes the intern nervous.
The funniest object in the room is the 2001 Live account. Some autist is going to sit at a laptop and type 410 posts by hand so the timeline can watch 9/11 like a basketball game with better sourcing. Two posts a minute while the towers are coming down, 25 years late. That is either a public service or the most committed history-nerd bit on the internet. Maybe both. He says he will not show the gore. He also says conspiracy retards get blocked. Fine.
Less than 24 hours. Remember the dead. Remember who flew the planes. Do not let a minute-of-silence montage sand it into "a tragedy occurred." A tragedy occurred because 19 Arab Muslim men, trained by al Qaeda, murdered almost 3,000 people on purpose. That sentence still works. Use it, you pussies.
