The facts
Adam Abdullah, 31, a Somali asylum seeker who came to the United States in 2023, told Minnesota Public Radio he had a work permit, a Social Security number, and a job as an auto mechanic in the Twin Cities. He said he appeared for regular ICE check-ins. A Minnesota court search found two 2025 parking tickets for not moving a car in snow emergencies. MPR reported no criminal record beyond that.
Federal agents stopped his vehicle in St. Paul on December 12, 2025, at the start of Operation Metro Surge. Abdullah said he asked for a warrant. He quoted the agents: "We don't need a warrant; we are immigration, and we know you are Adam Abdullah."
He was moved from Freeborn County Jail in Albert Lea to Covington, Kentucky, then Louisiana. He said officials told him he would go back to Somalia via Miami, with Cuba as a "refueling" stop. He has been at Guantanamo Bay's Camp Six about two weeks. Phone calls are 5 to 10 minutes. He said he is one of eight Somalis there, some also arrested in the Twin Cities.
DHS told MPR a recent Gitmo flight included "some of the worst of the worst" "criminal illegal aliens." DHS did not answer why Abdullah was arrested or how many people it is holding there. The ACLU sued over migrant detention at Guantanamo. A D.C. judge set a hearing for October 14.
Our take
The 9/11 guys still do not have a real trial. This man had a wrench and two snow tickets. They put him in the same postcard.
That is not tough. That is a press release with shackles. "Worst of the worst" is what you say when you will not answer a reporter about the mechanic.
The other half of this is not cute either. Asylum in 2023. Still here in December 2025, checking in like a good boy, until the surge needed a body. If your system needs Gitmo to move an auto tech with a work permit, the system is retarded. If your system lets him check in for years and then pretends Cuba is a gas station, it is also a liar.
Camp Six is for terrorists, or it is a storage unit. Pick one, you pussies. The parking tickets are not the missing piece.
