The facts
The Guardian reports that a new one-minute television advertisement, aired using taxpayer funds, celebrates President Donald Trump's decision to engage in war with Iran. The ad, which ran during a commercial break on Fox News, features audio from Trump's February 28 declaration of major combat operations in Iran, stating, 'This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge the strength and might of the United States Armed Forces.' It also includes remarks from Pete Hegseth, who said, 'If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere on Earth, we will hunt you down without apology and without hesitation and we will kill you.' The advertisement, paid for by the US Government, concludes with Trump's call for regime change in Iran. The ad utilizes previously released White House footage of Iranian Americans celebrating US strikes and Trump's announcement of the war.
Our take
What a colossal fucking grift. The administration's dickheads have officially turned warfare into a fucking infomercial, and the suckers funding this prime-time vanity project are every American taxpayer. This isn't governance; it's a state-sponsored campaign ad where the product is Donald Trump's ego and the cost is buried in your fucking tax return. The sheer, pathetic vanity is breathtaking. A man who spent the Vietnam era claiming bone spurs now uses public money to broadcast himself declaring 'no one should challenge the strength and might of the United States Armed Forces.' He's treating the military like a rented Lamborghini for a music video, a prop to make his draft-dodging ass look tough. Then they cut to that absolute prick Pete Hegseth, growling about hunting people down 'without apology and without hesitation.' It's a two-man audio track for a circle jerk, a mutual masturbation session of violent rhetoric where the climax is Trump calling for a regime change and the cleanup is your wallet.
The whole shitty minute is padded with 'previously released White House footage' of Iranian Americans celebrating. They're not citizens with complex views; they're cheap fucking props, a human backdrop to lend legitimacy to a propaganda piece. Of course this self-aggrandizing wank aired on Fox News during a commercial break. That's the only network where this transparent dick-swinging qualifies as programming instead of a public funds violation. The ad concludes by reinforcing the central message: Trump is boss. Not the system of checks and balances, but the orange conman who found the ultimate scam - making you pay for his re-election ads by labeling them 'government communication.'
Think about the mechanics of this bullshit. Some sycophant in the White House communications shop had to storyboard this. They had to choose the most menacing Trump soundbite, splice it with Hegseth's murder pledge, and layer it over stock footage of 'celebrating' minorities. Then they submitted an invoice to the Treasury, and your money - the money that could have tested a child for lead poisoning or filled one single pothole - was transferred to Fox News to air this garbage. It's a perfect, closed-loop system of corruption: create a conflict, film a commercial about it, and force the public to fund the broadcast. The next logical ad is for commemorative challenge coins struck from melted-down Iranian artillery, available for just three easy payments deducted from your Medicare benefits. These people aren't leaders; they're soulless, shameless cunts who see a battlefield and immediately wonder about the product placement opportunities.
