Walmart's Dick-Sore Division Just Got Its Ass Handed to It by the FDA

The retail giant's fulfillment arm was caught shipping unapproved herpes creams, and its best legal defense is 'lemongrass 2X' - which isn't even real homeopathy.

The facts

On October 1, 2026, the FDA sent a warning letter to Walmart, Inc., addressed to John Furner, the company's President and CEO in Bentonville, Arkansas. The letter, reference number MARCS-CMS 736557, says three products sold on walmart.com are unapproved new drugs: "HClear for him," "Herstat GST," and "Terragen HG Formula".

FDA staff bought all three on the site in July 2026, and the products were, in the agency's words, "introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce by Walmart via your Walmart Fulfillment Services."

The labels promised things like "GENITAL HERPES SYMPTOMS", "FAST-ACTING OUTBREAK SYMPTOM RELIEF ITCHING, TINGLING, PAIN & BURNING", "Genital Sore Treatment", and "relief of swelling and pain associated with genital sores." The FDA says it has not approved any over-the-counter drug for the treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any sexually transmitted infection, and warns that people relying on such products risk "severe complications such as infertility, sepsis, and death." The agency adds that "Effective treatment requires diagnosis and supervision by a licensed healthcare professional."

Two of the products leaned on the homeopathy defense. The letter says homeopathic drugs face the same approval requirements as other drugs, and notes that "HClear for him" lists "lemongrass 2X HPUS", which is not in the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia, so it does not even qualify as a homeopathic drug product under the FDA's guidance. "Herstat GST", meanwhile, makes claims that go beyond the OTC external-analgesic monograph, so there is no legal path to sell it without an approved application.

Walmart has 15 business days to respond in writing. If it does not, the letter warns of "regulatory or legal action without further notice including, without limitation, seizure and injunction."

Our take

John Furner, you absolute fucking cunt. The President and CEO of Walmart just got a letter from the FDA that basically says his company’s entire logistical dick is on the chopping block for selling snake oil for people’s genitals. The FDA didn’t stroll into a shady back-alley pharmacy; they went on fucking walmart.com and bought “HClear for him,” “Herstat GST,” and “Terragen HG Formula” right off the digital shelf. And who stored it, picked it, packed it, and shipped this bullshit? Walmart Fulfillment Services, you useless pricks. Your own corporate website brags about “end-to-end logistics services.” Congrats, you provided end-to-end logistics for a scam that could leave people infertile or dead from sepsis. That’s not a marketplace; that’s a felony with a smiley face logo.

Let’s talk about the products, because the comedy writes itself. These miracle cures promised “FAST-ACTING OUTBREAK SYMPTOM RELIEF ITCHING, TINGLING, PAIN & BURNING” for “GENITAL HERPES SYMPTOMS.” There is not a single over-the-counter drug approved to treat any sexually transmitted infection. Not one. So what the fuck was Walmart doing? Playing pharmacist with people’s crotches? The FDA explicitly says relying on this shit risks “severe complications such as infertility, sepsis, and death.” That’s not a side effect; that’s a corporate manslaughter speedrun facilitated by two-day shipping.

Then there’s the homeopathy defense, which is so pathetic it’s almost charming. One product lists “lemongrass 2X HPUS” as an ingredient. The FDA politely points out that this isn’t even in the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia, so it doesn’t qualify as a homeopathic drug under their own fucking rules for pretend medicine. Your supplier couldn’t even fake the witchcraft correctly. The other product’s claims are so far outside the legal OTC monograph that there’s no legal path to sell it. Translation: you assholes didn’t even bother to check if the fantasy you were selling had a parking permit in reality.

Walmart now has 15 business days to write back and explain how its world-class supply chain became a conduit for unapproved dick cream. The letter threatens “seizure and injunction.” Maybe they’ll try to fulfill their response through a third-party seller too. In the meantime, remember: next time you’re checking out with your groceries and a new TV, just know the same fucking button can also get you a tube of lies for your weeping sores, courtesy of America’s favorite household name in logistical negligence. Eat shit, John.

The VA Wrote Down That Late Surgery Packs Could Cancel Veterans' Surgeries, Then Said Getting Them Faster Had "no value"

The Court of Federal Claims just ordered the VA to redo its $98.5 million sterile-procedure-pack solicitation. The agency shopped by lowest price technically acceptable, wrote into its own acquisition plan that late packs could delay or cancel surgeries, and then told the court a faster delivery plan was worth "no value" to it. Senior Judge Loren A. Smith was not buying it.
