Judge Ana Reyes, a hero in sensible shoes, has ordered a complete halt to the tree-clearing bullshit at East Potomac Golf Links after the administration - a pack of lying assholes - already hacked down 430 of the 529 trees they’d planned to murder. They were just casually ignoring her previous order that said, hey dickheads, maybe ask for permission before you turn more than ten trees into mulch. What, did they think the judicial branch was just a suggestion? A minor speed bump on their path to creating another sterile, overpriced monument to Trump’s vanity?
This whole project is a perfect, stinking metaphor for the man himself: a grifter’s attempt to seize a public asset, strip it of everything that made it accessible and good, and rebuild it in his own gilded, tacky image for the exclusive pleasure of fellow elites.
