Trump's Legal Woes Heat Up

The facts

According to a Guardian explainer published on 14 October 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2026-27 term will consider several challenges to policies enacted during Donald Trump’s second term. The Court has been asked to rule on a climate-change lawsuit filed by Boulder, Colorado, against ExxonMobil and Suncor Energy, with Justice Samuel Alito recused over a conflict of interest. Separate cases question the administration’s 2025 reinterpretation of immigration law that requires the indefinite detention of all migrants who entered illegally, and its practice of deporting migrants to “third countries” without full notice or opportunity to contest. The Court will also hear challenges to state and local bans on AR-15-style rifles brought by residents of Cook County, Illinois, and Connecticut, as well as a case over Arizona voter-ID and voter-roll rules enacted in 2022. Decisions are expected on or before June 2027, and the Court has already allowed temporary deportations while litigation proceeds.

Our take

Fucking hell, look who's getting testy now - Dickhead Trump's pet projects are finally up for some serious judicial scrutiny. His precious aren't shielding ExxonMobil from Boulder's lawsuit – though Justice Samuel Alito wisely took a seat on that one because of a conflict of interest. What else does Team Trump think it'll get away with? Oh right, indefinitely detaining migrants because apparently that’s what ‘law and order’ means when you’re a xenophobic prick. And don’t even get me started on those ‘third country’ deportations – sounds like something a cruel cunt would concoct after losing a game of Risk. Then there’s the gun nuts whining about being forced to give up their beloved AR-15s; tough tits, folks, if you can’t handle a little regulation, maybe stick to toy guns made of LEGO bricks. Lastly, let’s talk about Arizona’s voter-ID laws – basically just another underhanded attempt by Republicans to shit on voting rights because they’re terrified of actual democracy. All these chickens are coming home to roost, and it’s gonna be glorious. Every single one of these decisions better come down swinging against Trump and his ilk, or else we can kiss our First Amendment goodbye and usher in some dystopian crap. Absolute cunt, this whole shebang stinks like low-grade reefer and last week’s trash. At least someone around here might actually face consequences, unlike that impunity-granting clown show Congress usually turns out to be. Shitshow Supreme Court set to become latest battleground – carry on, America! Bullshit circus incoming, unstrap yourselves in. Time to see which flavor of festering incompetence ends up setting every damn precedent: stupidity or malevolence. This Supreme Court session smells like burnt coffee, stale cigarettes, and misogynistic bamboozling. Great times ahead, everybody – keep calm and litigate on, I guess. When did ‘free speech’ start meaning immunity for dodgy politicians? Not on my goddamn watch, dipshit. Whatever happens next had best involve some motherfucking accountability. Let’s go find out if there’s any justice left in this dumpster fire called America.
