DOJ Drops a $1.776 Billion Slush Fund for Trump’s ‘Victims of Lawfare’

A settlement of Trump’s tax‑leak suit creates a near‑$1.8 B “Anti‑Weaponization Fund,” prompting nearly 100 House Democrats to call it a taxpayer‑funded racket.

The facts

On Monday the Justice Department announced a nearly $1.8 billion “Anti‑Weaponization Fund” as part of a settlement that resolves President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS over the leak of his tax returns. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the fund will provide a “lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.” A five‑member commission appointed by Blanche will review applications. The Justice Department stated there are no partisan requirements for applicants and that anyone who believes they were unfairly persecuted may apply. Nearly 100 House Democrats, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, signed a brief urging a judge to block the deal, calling it a “racket” that would divert taxpayer dollars to Trump allies. Judge Kathleen Williams dismissed the underlying case, noting that no agency had submitted settlement documents for review.

Our take

Well, shit. The DOJ just turned into a fucking GoFundMe for every asshole who got caught committing a crime and cried ‘political persecution.’ Out of Trump’s own tax‑leak lawsuit, we now have a $1.776 billion “Anti‑Weaponization Fund.” That’s not a fund; it’s a golden toilet for the entire Trump‑adjacent griftosphere to dump taxpayer cash into. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche – a cunt perfectly named for this limp‑dick operation – gets to appoint a five‑member commission to decide who gets paid. He calls it a “lawful process for victims.” Bullshit. It’s a lawful process for Todd Blanche to play Santa Claus with your money for any prick who claims the deep state made them commit fraud. The criteria are anyone who believes they were unfairly persecuted. So every fucking idiot who got convicted because they left a paper trail can now apply for a consolation prize. Nearly 100 House Democrats, led by Jamie Raskin, are screaming that this is a “racket.” No shit, Sherlock. It’s a racket so blatant it makes a mob‑run casino look like a charity. The DOJ says there are “no partisan requirements.” Sure, and my ass is a bipartisan beacon of hope. The fund was born from Trump’s lawsuit and will be administered by his guy. It’s a partisan piggy bank with a “Justice” sticker slapped on it to fool the rubes. Judge Kathleen Williams dismissed the underlying case because, get this, no agency even bothered to submit the settlement documents for review. That’s the legal equivalent of building a billion‑dollar house on a foundation of piss and hoping no one notices the smell. The whole thing is a procedural ghost – a grift floating in the ether, waiting to suck cash out of the Treasury and into the pockets of professional victims. So let’s be clear: this isn’t justice. This is a $1.776 billion “fuck you” to every American who pays taxes. It’s a monument to vanity and grievance, built so Trump and his band of whiny felons can feel like martyrs instead of the lucky bastards who just won the I Got Caught lottery. The only weaponization here is the DOJ turning itself into a cash‑dispensing weapon aimed directly at the public’s wallet. What an absolute fucking disgrace.
