The U.S. Department of Education announced Monday that it has formally rescinded the Biden administration’s 2024 Title IX regulations and restored the 2020 framework adopted during the first Trump administration. The 2024 rule, which expanded the definition of sex discrimination to include sexual orientation and gender identity, was vacated nationwide by a federal district court on Jan. 9, 2025, and has been unenforceable since. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said the move “clears the Biden Administration’s illegal rewrite of Title IX” and restores “commonsense language.” Civil‑rights groups, including the National Women’s Law Center, warned that the rollback will reduce federal protections for transgender students. The change means schools receiving federal funds must again follow the 2020 Title IX requirements for grievance procedures and athletic participation.

It’s been a dead, stinking, useless piece of bureaucratic shit for twenty months. The Department of Education has been enforcing the 2020 rules since the day Trump walked back into the Oval Office. Monday’s announcement was a purely administrative act – scrubbing a corpse’s name from a government website. Yet here come the civil‑rights ghouls, holding a fucking vigil for a skeleton they buried two winters ago, screaming about an “attack.” You can’t attack a rule that’s been a judicial corpse for over a year and a half. You can only sweep up its dust, which is all Secretary Linda McMahon did. The real weapon here is the pathetic, performative bullshit from advocates who need a villain so badly they’ll pretend a janitorial update is a fresh act of war. The only thing “weaponized” is their own fucking hypocrisy, firing blanks at a paperwork update because their actual legal strategy was so goddamn weak it got the entire rule tossed nationwide before it could even take a full breath. It was stillborn. Monday’s action was the bureaucratic equivalent of finally tossing out the rotten placenta. So spare us the tears about a rule that’s already ash. The only people getting attacked here are the taxpayers funding this department, who have to watch a cabinet secretary hold a press conference to announce she deleted a dead file while activists piss and moan about a battle they lost in a courtroom twenty fucking months ago. It’s a pantomime of outrage for a policy cadaver, and everyone involved should be embarrassed they’re still milking this dry tit for donor dollars and press hits. Grow the fuck up and fight a rule that’s actually alive, you useless pricks. The mourning period is over. Shut the fuck up about it.
