The Swiss FA Just Told Infantino To Go Fuck Himself

In a move of stunning national betrayal, the Swiss Football Association has publicly withdrawn its support for its own countryman's FIFA re-election bid, citing a total lack of convincing answers on leadership and governance.

The facts

The Swiss Football Association (SFV) announced on Wednesday that its executive committee has withdrawn its endorsement of Gianni Infantino’s bid for another term as FIFA president. The SFV said the decision follows a “comprehensive reassessment of developments over the past few months,” noting that a series of incidents raise fundamental questions about leadership, governance, transparency and decision‑making within FIFA. Infantino, born in Brig, Switzerland, has been FIFA president since 2016 and is seeking re‑election in March. The SFV added that key questions about FIFA’s responsibilities and decision‑making processes have not been convincingly clarified, making continued support untenable. The move follows similar withdrawals by associations in England, Wales, France, Serbia and others, and UEFA has said it will present a rival candidate before the November deadline.

Our take

Well, well, well. The Swiss FA has finally looked at Gianni Infantino and decided the smell was too strong to ignore. This isn't just another federation politely backing away; this is the man's own fucking national association taking a giant, precision-engineered Swiss shit on his doorstep. They didn't just withdraw support; they issued a press release so packed with bureaucratic disdain it could freeze a volcano. A "comprehensive reassessment"? That's corporate-speak for we finally opened our eyes and saw the clown car you've been driving. They talk about "fundamental questions" on leadership and transparency. Let's translate that from Swiss-German: You're a grifting dickhead and we can't keep pretending otherwise.

It's the ultimate humiliation. This prick was born in Brig, for fuck's sake. The Swiss are supposed to be neutral, not stupid. For them to say the key questions haven't been "convincingly clarified" is the politest way imaginable to call someone a lying, evasive cunt. It means Infantino has been feeding them the same reheated bullshit he feeds everyone else, and they've finally realized it's all piss. They've looked at the series of incidents - which is code for every fucking shady deal and tone-deaf power grab of the last few months - and decided their continued support was "untenable." Untenable! That's the word you use when the roof is caving in, not when you're mildly disappointed. They're basically saying, Gianni, you've made our association look like a bunch of gullible assholes, and we're done.

And let's not forget the beautiful domino effect. England, Wales, France, Serbia - they all walked away first. But when the Swiss bail, you know the ship isn't just taking on water; it's actively being scuttled by the crew. UEFA is now lining up a rival candidate, which means the entire European power bloc is preparing to collectively tell Infantino to get in the sea. This isn't an election campaign anymore; it's a fucking intervention. The man who promised reform and transparency has instead delivered a masterclass in opaque, self-serving fuckery, and his neighbors have had enough. They'd rather back a stranger than the bastard from down the road who turned their global game into his personal piggy bank.

So here we are. The most damning indictment isn't from some distant critic; it's from the home team. The Swiss FA has essentially declared that Gianni Infantino is unfit to run a lemonade stand, let alone FIFA. His presidency is now a joke where the punchline is written in his own country's official letterhead. What a pathetic, glorious, deserved fucking mess.
