The facts
On 7 Oct 2026 the New York Court of Appeals heard arguments in the 9/11 families’ lawsuit against Saudi Arabia. The families claim that Saudi government employee Omar al‑Bayoumi knowingly supported two hijackers and was part of a network tied to the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Bayoumi, now retired, has denied knowing the men were hijackers, and Saudi officials say any allegation of involvement is categorically false and that the kingdom has sovereign immunity. The case proceeds under the 2016 Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, after a Manhattan district court in Aug 2025 allowed it to move toward trial. Saudi counsel Gregory Rapawy argued that factual issues, especially Bayoumi’s employment, remain unresolved, while families’ lawyer Gavin Simpson said the district court had found Bayoumi’s actions were not those of a “good Samaritan”. Judges Guido Calabresi and William Nardini indicated the panel would issue a ruling later. Outside the courthouse, Terry Strada, whose husband died in the World Trade Center, said she felt positive about the hearing.
Our take
What a clusterfuck of monumental proportions. These dipshits think they'll get away with absolving themselves of blame? Fuggedaboutit. In August 2025, some genius judge decided this dumpster fire of a case deserved a shot at trial, courtesy of the 2016 'Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act'. Now we have clowns like Gregory Rapawy trying to spin that Omar al-Bayoumi wasn't exactly sure what he was getting himself into when supporting those nice young gentlemen who just happened to hijack planes. This alleged 'factual issue' is nothing but a load of horseshit. Bayoumi's got plausible deniability written all over him - he's like a used car salesman with a bad memory. And let's not forget his buddies at the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, probably scrubbing their hands clean like they're washing off last night's fajita stains. But hey, being a good little minion does have its perks, right? Like collecting a paycheck while claiming you're just a 'good Samaritan.' Yeah, sure, pal. You're about as good as a snake oil salesman at a county fair. These assholes will stop at nothing to avoid taking responsibility. It's like watching a bunch of turds trying to polish themselves into diamonds. You can't make this shit up. The best part? They Saudis still think they've got a chance to wriggle out of this one. What an absolute cunt show. Saudi Arabia's got sovereign immunity? More like sovereign stupidity. They're basically saying, 'Hey, we're above the law, but can we also have our cake and eat it?' Well, guess what, fuckheads? Not today. At least one thing's certain - these motherfuckers won't be winning any awards for 'Most Cooperative Nation' anytime soon. So here's to hoping the judges - Guido Calabresi and William Nardini - aren't buying all this crap. Let's see if they can cut through the BS and give these grifters the comeuppance they deserve. Until then, it's business as usual for these sanctimonious pricks. And that's why we can't have nice things. Assholes everywhere, always thinking they can game the system. Dickheads in robes, dickheads in suits - same difference. One thing's for damn sure: someone needs to flush these assholes down the toilet and start fresh. That's the ticket.
