The facts
On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the House Education and Workforce Committee released a majority staff report on antisemitism in K-12 schools. Under Chairman Walberg’s leadership, the Committee opened investigations into Berkeley Unified School District in California, the School District of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, and also investigated the National Education Association, America’s largest teachers’ union, over allegations of antisemitism. In 2023 alone, antisemitic incidents in K-12 schools increased by 135 percent, according to the report.
The report says the School District of Philadelphia, the ninth-largest school district in the United States with 330 schools, teaches a world history unit devoted to resistance movements in which students are directed to “honor” a resistance movement of their choice, with the Great March of Return, a Hamas campaign that featured deadly clashes, listed as one option. The unit opens, the report says, by encouraging students to embrace violent resistance, noting that “the decolonial fight in India wasn’t always peaceful”, and teachers are told to “take a deep dive” with students into the works of Frantz Fanon, who, according to the district, “argues that decolonization is in its very nature a violent process.”
Philadelphia’s lesson on the War on Terror, the report says, concludes with an exercise from the Zinn Education Project that asks students to label the U.S. and Israel as terrorists. Other district lessons, according to the report, relied on materials from the Racial Justice Organizing Committee, an organization led by district employees: in one, Philadelphia students color-coded aspects of their identities as “dominant” or “oppressed.” According to the district, “dominant” identities include males, white people, and Christians, while “oppressed” identities include black people, LGBTQ people, immigrants, and “non-Christians.”
When the Committee interviewed Superintendent Dr. Tony Watlington in September 2026, he claimed the district’s social studies curriculum “does not indoctrinate students.” But when asked about contemporary manifestations of antisemitism, the report says, Watlington did not know whether it is antisemitic to claim that the State of Israel is a racist endeavor, saying instead that it “depend[s] on context”. The report also says the district told the Committee in September 2026 that teachers and administrators will no longer write social studies curricula, and that its social studies curriculum director is undergoing a termination proceeding.
On Berkeley, the report says the district approved an “Israel/Palestine” lesson set that whitewashes terrorism, and that teachers told colleagues the curriculum could not be shared directly with families. On the NEA, the report says the union has pledged thousands of dollars since October 7th to Rethinking Schools and the Zinn Education Project, groups the report calls “lead purveyors of antisemitic content into K-12 schools”, and that internal union documents showed the NEA was not working with the Anti-Defamation League because of the ADL’s recent efforts to combat contemporary antisemitism.
Our take
Let's be perfectly fucking clear about what the ninth-largest school district in America decided was a solid week of social studies. First, have the little shits 'honor' a resistance movement. Oh, and by the way, one of the options is the Great March of Return, a Hamas campaign featuring people getting murdered. That’s not a history lesson, you absolute fucking clowns, that’s a permission slip for glorifying terrorists. But hey, why stop there? Let’s wrap up the War on Terror unit by having kids officially label the United States and Israel as terrorists. Congratulations, Philadelphia, you’ve successfully turned your classrooms into a fucking propaganda workshop for America-hating dipshits. The curriculum director responsible for this shit is now getting fired, which is the only correct move in this whole sordid tale of institutional brainrot. It’s the educational equivalent of finding a dog shitting on the carpet and finally deciding to house-train it after a decade of letting it run wild. Too late, you stupid fucks. The stain is already deep in the fibers of 330 schools. And Superintendent Dr. Tony Watlington, when asked if calling Israel a racist endeavor is antisemitic, said it 'depend[s] on context.' What context, you useless prick? The context where you’re a fucking superintendent who can’t answer a yes-or-no question about bigotry? The context where you’re overseeing a district that turns kids into little identity-sorting robots, coloring in 'dominant' (white, male, Christian) and 'oppressed' (everyone else) boxes like it’s a fucking Crayola apartheid exercise? The sheer, staggering cowardice of this man - hiding behind bureaucratic 'context' while his district peddles this poisonous, divisive garbage - is a masterclass in failed leadership. He’s a fucking weather vane spinning in a hurricane of his own making. Meanwhile, Berkeley’s contribution was to create an Israel/Palestine lesson so fucking sketchy that teachers were told not to share it directly with parents. If your lesson plan has to be hidden from the families paying for it, maybe it’s not education - it’s indoctrination by sneaky little shits. And the National Education Association, the giant teachers’ union, was busy writing checks to the very groups pumping this antisemitic sewage into schools while giving the Anti-Defamation League the cold shoulder. It’s a perfect fucking circle of contempt: the unions fund the activists who write the curriculum that the teachers hide from the parents that the administrators won’t defend to Congress. Everyone involved is a grifter or a coward, playing ideological games with kids' minds while the adults in charge piss their pants at a simple question. The only thing they managed to teach anyone is how to be a complete and utter cunt.
