Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner stated that Eric Lewis, the man accused of killing Police Officer Shane Seiber and wounding his partner, was acquitted of murder in a 2019 case due to police misconduct. In a video statement, Krasner described the earlier investigation as deeply flawed, with the conduct of one officer and one detective being "arguably criminal." He alleged that an officer involved in the case, who was in a relationship with the defendant's sister, fabricated a tip about a person named "Spice" being the real killer, a person Krasner claims does not exist. Krasner called this behavior "obstruction of the administration of justice." He noted that the judge alerted police internal affairs, leading to one officer being fired and another disciplined. The Philadelphia Police Department responded that assigning blame while families are grieving is unhelpful and that true leadership stands with families and holds itself to scrutiny. Lewis faces numerous charges in the recent incident, including murder and homicide of a law enforcement officer. Court records indicate Lewis has a criminal history dating back to 2012.

So let's get this straight. The fucking clown car that is the Philadelphia Police Department, in its infinite wisdom, managed to botch a murder case so badly that the cunt they let walk is now accused of killing one of their own. And the man tasked with cleaning up this shitstorm, DA Larry Krasner, has to go on camera and explain that, yes, the reason a probable murderer was back on the street to allegedly shoot a cop is because the cops themselves are a pack of incompetent, corrupt dickheads.
The details are so fucking pathetic they'd be funny if a man wasn't dead. According to Krasner, the investigation was so deeply flawed the conduct of one officer and one detective was, quote, arguably criminal. Arguably? One of these geniuses was fucking the defendant's sister and decided the best way to help his girlfriend's brother was to invent a phantom killer named 'Spice.' Spice! Not even a believable fucking alias like 'Shadow' or 'Ghost.' They went with a fucking seasoning. This officer, this absolute cunt, allegedly fabricated a tip about a person who doesn't exist to point the finger away from the actual suspect. That's not police work; that's a shitty subplot from a canceled CBS drama.
Krasner called it obstruction of justice, which is the polite, legal term for being a treasonous prick to your own badge. The judge saw this bullshit and had to tell internal affairs to get their house in order, which resulted in one officer getting fired and another getting a slap on the wrist. A fucking wrist-slap for helping a murderer evade justice. What a stellar performance. And now the Philadelphia Police Department has the gall to say assigning blame while families grieve is unhelpful. No, you useless bastards, what's unhelpful is having officers so fucking corrupt or stupid that they actively sabotage murder cases, creating a revolving door for violent assholes.
This is the institutional cowardice and vanity of a department that would rather posture about leadership and standing with families than admit its own rancid, self-inflicted wound. They're so up their own asses with blue-line brotherhood they can't see when one of their own is a cancer. Krasner is left holding the bag, explaining to a grieving city that the people they pay to protect them are sometimes the very reason they're not protected. The police response isn't contrition; it's a PR-trained whine about tone. Fuck their tone. A cop is dead, and the trail of piss leading to his accused killer was mopped up by the Philly PD years ago.
