Modi Government’s Cockroach Catchers Suffer Humiliating Catch-and-Release Failure

The state's weekend kidnapping of 2,000 citizens and their insect‑themed leaders backfires as the roaches get the last laugh - and a minister's scalp.

The facts

Leaders of India's 'Cockroach' movement were released from detention on Sunday, October 11, 2026, after police cracked down on protests against a revision of voter lists that removed over 130 million voters. Critics allege the move is politically motivated, a claim denied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party and the Election Commission. The movement's leaders, Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka, were freed on the condition of maintaining peace for one year. Police detained them on Saturday as they prepared to lead a demonstration in New Delhi. Following his release, Dipke criticized Modi, calling him an 'embarrassment' and a 'coward and bully.' Das urged supporters to continue protesting, stating, 'A situation has been created where the state is at war with its own citizens.' Authorities detained over 2,000 protesters, including opposition lawmakers, and suspended internet services in parts of the city. Most detainees were released Saturday night. The 'Cockroach' movement, which adopted the insect as a symbol of resilience, began as a satirical online campaign. The group previously forced the resignation of Modi's education minister in July.

Our take

Well, the Roach Motel’s ‘Guests Can’t Leave’ policy lasted a whole fucking day. After vanishing 130 million voters and then kidnapping over 2,000 people who objected, the Modi regime has released the Cockroach leaders on a promise to be peaceful. That’s like a bank robber letting the hostages go if they pinky‑swear not to call him a thief. What a galaxy‑brained strategy: first you delete an electorate the size of Germany, then you arrest the guys calling you a coward, then you let them out so they can immediately call you a coward again. Masterful, you sensitive, petty cunts. The peace bond is the real joke - a year of good behavior or back in the shithole. The state is so scared of a bug it’s trying to sign a truce with an insect. They turned off the internet because the truth is a virus their bullshit firewall can’t stop. And the Election Commission’s denial? A trash fire insisting it’s a scented candle. These roaches already made one minister resign. Now the government’s plan is to catch‑and‑release the pests, hoping they’ll stop being unkillable. It’s pest control run by absolute fucking morons who think the roach is the problem, not the pile of shit they’re governing from. The movement’s symbol is resilience. The state’s symbol is a flailing slipper, missing every time. Keep crawling, you glorious bastards. The light’s on, and the motel’s managers are looking dumber by the second. The only thing this regime has successfully exterminated is its own credibility. What a pack of clowns. They went to war with a cockroach and are losing to a bug they can’t even squash without looking like terrified little pissants. Bravo, you fragile dickheads. Bravo.
