Meta’s “Technical Disruption” Is Just the Algorithm Showing Its Dick

Brazil’s electoral court had to order the fucking Zuckerverse to stop blatantly tilting its platforms for Bolsonaro, after Lula’s campaign exposed how AI image blocks and channel recommendations kept magically fucking the left. Meta’s excuse? A “combination of generic first names and election numbers.” Sure, you useless pricks.

The facts

Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court ruled that Meta Platforms must treat incumbent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and challenger Flávio Bolsonaro equally on its platforms ahead of the Oct. 25 runoff. Lula’s campaign alleged that Meta’s algorithmic distribution and AI‑generated‑image restrictions favored Bolsonaro. Meta denied political bias, saying the issues stemmed from technical disruptions, anti‑fraud measures and compliance. The company explained that a combination of generic first names and election numbers temporarily blocked some users from generating images of Lula, while image generation remained available for Bolsonaro for another day. AP reported that Meta did not explain why Instagram and WhatsApp recommended Bolsonaro’s channels. AP also cited leaked internal communications indicating that Meta employees said Lula‑campaign accounts were restricted from boosting some posts because of glitches and algorithmic limits.

Our take

So the Superior Electoral Court of Brazil had to step in and tell Meta to stop being a partisan little shit, because its platforms were so obviously jerking off Bolsonaro’s campaign that it looked like a fucking infomercial. Lula’s people pointed out the algorithm was boosting the challenger and blocking AI‑generated images of the incumbent president. Meta’s response? Some vague “technical disruptions, anti‑fraud measures, and compliance.” Right. A “combination of generic first names and election numbers” somehow only blocked pictures of Lula for a day, while Bolsonaro’s face kept popping up like a happy little algorithmically‑approved boner. What a stunningly specific and completely innocent coincidence, you absolute frauds. And of course, Meta offered zero explanation for why Instagram and WhatsApp were recommending Bolsonaro’s channels. They just shrugged their corporate shoulders and hoped no one would notice the digital thumb on the scale. Leaked internal comms showed employees admitting Lula‑campaign accounts were restricted by those same glitches and algorithmic limits. So the “glitch” is apparently a sentient, right‑wing asshole that lives in the code and only fucks with one side. How convenient. This is the company that wants to build the fucking metaverse, a virtual world they’ll totally run fairly and not at all like a petty, biased dictatorship. They can’t even run an election in Brazil without their systems spontaneously developing a hard‑on for the fascist‑lite candidate. It’s not a bug; it’s a feature of their entire grifting, power‑hungry business model. They’re not platform administrators; they’re digital ward‑heelers with better haircuts and worse morals. So here’s Meta, forced by a court to do the bare minimum of not rigging a national election, and their best defense is that their own AI is too stupid to tell a president from a spam bot. Either their technology is run by complete fucking morons, or they’re lying through their teeth. Both are equally plausible for this pack of Silicon Valley cowards. The next time Zuck talks about connecting the world, remember he means connecting it to whatever bullshit serves his pocket and his politics, until a judge makes him stop.
