The Department of Health and Human Services has finalized the GLOBE Model, a new mandatory Medicare payment model established under section 1115A of the Social Security Act. The model aims to test an alternative approach to calculating Medicare Part B drug inflation rebates for certain Part B drugs and biological products. The rule was published in the Federal Register on October 2, 2026, and bears the signature of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, approved the document on September 23, 2026. The initial proposal included an estimated $11.9 billion in new rebates. The final rule estimates overall savings of $440 million in Medicare Part B net spending during the 7-year payment period. The model applies to specific categories of Part B rebatable drugs with significant spending.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just signed off on a watered-down version of his global drug pricing plan, saving a measly $440 million over seven years. The original proposal packed a punch with $11.9 billion in projected rebates. Now it's a joke. The final rule protects orphan drugs, gene therapies, and plasma products, giving Big Pharma a free pass. The GLOBE Model is a perfect example of regulatory capture. What a load of bullshit. RFK Jr. got fucked by Big Pharma. He's a lapdog legislator who can't even get that right. The guy's a total dick. The 'Global Benchmark for Efficient Drug Pricing' name is a joke. It's really the 'Global Benchmark for Efficient Bullshitting'. What a bunch of horseshit. Who's the biggest asshole here? RFK Jr. or Mehmet Oz? Both, obviously. They're equal opportunity dicks. Their signatures might as well read 'I'm a sellout to Big Pharma'. That's what this whole exercise in futility boils down to. How much did these clowns personally profit from this little shell game? Probably enough to buy some nice wigs. The GLOBE Model is nothing but a weak attempt to look tough on drug prices while doing fuck-all. It's like trying to stop a hemorrhoid by blowing on it.
