Ilhan Omar's House Gets Rummaged By Feds, Watchdog Wets Himself Over What They 'Probably' Found

A professional hand-wringer from a right-wing 'oversight' group, whose entire job is shrieking about Democrats, says a federal raid on a congresswoman's home means they 'probably got the goods,' offering the same deep analysis as a guy guessing what's in a wrapped Christmas present.

The facts

Federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) raided the Washington, D.C., home of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., early Monday morning. Oversight Project President Mike Howell told Fox News Digital that the raid raises broader questions about congressional accountability and what investigators may uncover next. Howell's warning comes as U.S. Attorney Jeanine F. Pirro confirmed her office is investigating the Minnesota Democrat's financial disclosures, while separate reporting revealed that federal investigators had subpoenaed Omar's relatives as part of an immigration-related probe. Howell suggested that Omar’s defenders’ arguments indicate that it’s "not all peaches and cream underneath the hood." Howell argued that obtaining a search warrant for a sitting member of Congress in Washington suggested investigators had developed substantial evidence. "They probably got the goods on her," Howell said. "You don't get a federal judge to sign off on something like this in Washington, D.C., of all places, unless there is something that is rather convincing." Jonathan Fahey, a former acting ICE director and federal prosecutor, suggested that knowingly repeating materially false information in more recent federal filings could create separate legal exposure. Former FBI agent Nicole Parker cautioned that Omar might not face criminal liability if her father completed allegedly false paperwork while she was a minor, but could face denaturalization if she obtained citizenship through materially-false information.

Our take

Well, fuck me sideways, the federal government executed a search warrant. That’s the big fucking news. Not that they found anything, or charged anyone, but that they looked. And this earth-shattering development has sent Mike Howell, the president of something called the “Oversight Project,” into a full-blown prophecy-gasm. This prick has built a career on whispering “probably” into a Fox News microphone, and now he’s climaxing over the mere possibility that investigators might have “something that is rather convincing.” No shit, Sherlock. You don’t think a judge signs a warrant because the feds promised him a nice ham? Howell’s entire argument is that doing the bare minimum of a corruption investigation - getting a warrant - is itself proof of guilt. It’s the logic of a fucking toddler who thinks the doorbell ringing means the pizza is here.

This clown’s big insight, that it’s “not all peaches and cream underneath the hood,” is the kind of profound, evidence-based commentary you’d get from a mechanic who hasn’t opened it yet but smells something funny. He’s extrapolating a whole conspiracy from the scent of his own bullshit. The raid “raises broader questions about congressional accountability,” he whines, as if his fucking “project” hasn’t been screaming those same questions into a void for years without a single actual answer. Now the feds do one piece of paperwork and this dickhead acts like he’s Nostradamus, predicting “more revelations ahead.” Yeah, no shit, there might be more news about an ongoing investigation. You’re a fucking genius.

Then we get the legal eagles, parachuting in to state the breathtakingly obvious. A former prosecutor says lying on federal forms is bad. A former FBI agent says the legal outcome depends on, get this, the actual facts and the law. This is the depth of analysis we’re working with: experts reminding everyone that consequences are contingent on reality. Meanwhile, Howell is over there jerking off to the word “probably,” building a whole narrative of imminent doom on the foundation of a speculation he heard from his own ass. It’s a masterclass in building a scary story out of the administrative process of law enforcement, designed to make dipshits like him feel smart for pointing at a door and saying, They went in there. No fucking duh. The real story is that professional panic-artists have turned the government is doing its job into a five-alarm fire for the simple-minded, and they’re getting paid to be this fucking useless.
