FTC Sues Ticket Vampires For Running A Billion-Dollar Bot Army That Drained Concerts Dry

The Federal Trade Commission says REPS & Company spent $1.3 billion, hoarded 18.5 million tickets, and made $120 million in profit by running a massive bot army to fuck over fans.

The facts

The Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint, referred to the Department of Justice, accusing REPS & Company Inc. of illegally bypassing ticket‑issuer security measures in violation of the Better Online Ticket Sales Act. The complaint, filed in 2026, names CEO Ryan Pancheri, President Brian Archibald and COO Nicholas Totagrande. Since 2022 REPS purchased more than eight tickets for each of at least 83,500 events, spending over $1.3 billion to acquire more than 18.5 million tickets and generating at least $120.8 million in profit. A highlighted example cites $833,000 profit from 7,624 tickets to a Beyoncé Renaissance tour concert in Kansas City, Missouri, bought through 1,300 accounts. The FTC says REPS used employees - many based in the Philippines - and methods such as false‑information accounts, virtual credit cards, IP‑proxy services and address tweaks to evade Ticketmaster and AXS controls.

Our take

The FTC just sued a ticket-scalping operation so vast and shameless it makes the fucking Ticketmaster queue look like a lemonade stand. REPS & Company didn't just cheat the system; they industrialized the art of being a complete cunt to music fans. They spent over $1.3 billion - a sum so stupid it could fund a small country's space program - to hoard 18.5 million tickets. That's more than eight tickets for each of 83,500 events. These greedy pricks weren't just snagging a few extra seats; they were systematically vacuuming up entire tours to resell at a markup, banking a cool $120.8 million in profit while actual humans got error messages. The complaint details how they used over a thousand fake accounts, virtual credit cards, and IP proxies - many manned by cheap labor in the Philippines - to beat security. It's a global conspiracy of digital pickpockets, and the named executives - CEO Ryan Pancheri, President Brian Archibald, COO Nicholas Totagrande - are the three-headed dickhead monster behind it. Their crowning achievement? Turning one Beyoncé concert in Kansas City into an $833,000 payday by using 1,300 bullshit accounts to buy 7,624 tickets. That's not business; that's a parasitic fucking infestation. The sheer scale of their operation exposes the pathetic joke of 'fan-friendly' ticket sales. These assholes didn't just bend the rules; they used a billion-dollar hydraulic press to snap the Better Online Ticket Sales Act over their fucking knee. They turned concert-going into a rigged lottery where the house always wins, and the house is a cabal of greedy bastards with an army of digital ghosts. The FTC's lawsuit is a welcome start, but it's a bit like using a squirt gun on a grease fire started with a billion dollars. Here's hoping the DOJ nails these pricks to the wall and uses their $120 million profit as fucking kindling. Maybe then the next time you try to buy a ticket, you'll only be competing with other humans, not a shadow corporation of profit-sucking vampires. Fuck these guys. Fuck them right in their virtual wallets. They built a nation of ghosts to rob the living, and they deserve to get their empire of shit burned to the ground. They're not brokers; they're the reason live music feels like a fucking scam.

The VA Wrote Down That Late Surgery Packs Could Cancel Veterans' Surgeries, Then Said Getting Them Faster Had "no value"

The Court of Federal Claims just ordered the VA to redo its $98.5 million sterile-procedure-pack solicitation. The agency shopped by lowest price technically acceptable, wrote into its own acquisition plan that late packs could delay or cancel surgeries, and then told the court a faster delivery plan was worth "no value" to it. Senior Judge Loren A. Smith was not buying it.
