The facts
Declassified documents indicate that the FBI's Washington Field Office (WFO) expressed doubts about having probable cause for the Mar-a-Lago raid weeks before it occurred in August 2022. Internal emails obtained by Fox News Digital show WFO agents communicating frustration with the Department of Justice (DOJ) for being unresponsive and unwilling to consider alternatives to a search warrant. One email from May 24, 2022, detailed a proposed timeline for the investigation ending with a search warrant execution by June 6, suggesting the FBI believed it could obtain records without executing a warrant. Another email from June 1-2, 2022, proposed a conversation with former President Trump's attorney as a potential 'off-ramp' from the investigation. By July 13, 2022, less than a month before the raid, the assistant special agent in charge of the WFO stated flatly that the FBI did not believe probable cause had been established for the search warrant, while the DOJ opined that it had. The White House, in response to these revelations, stated, 'Spying on political opponents is weaponization of law enforcement, plain and simple. This is further proof the Biden administration weaponized the DOJ to target political opponents.' The documents also revealed the FBI tracked Trump family travel and communications.
Our take
The FBI’s Washington Field Office apparently spent months trying to get the DOJ to stop acting like a bunch of coked-up frat boys screaming 'Fuck it, we ball!' at a legal kegger. According to internal emails, these agents were the designated drivers, soberly pointing out they lacked probable cause and begging to just call Trump’s lawyer instead. But the DOJ was already puking in the bushes, convinced their shitty legal theory was a solid foundation for a historic raid. You can picture the emails: 'Hey, maybe we don’t do this?' followed by a Justice Department reply that just said 'YOLO' and a forwarded link to buy more black polo shirts. The sheer bureaucratic cowardice is breathtaking. The FBI agents weren’t heroes; they were fucking hall monitors watching the principal burn down the school library because the book about him had a creased page. They logged their doubts, proposed a sensible chat as an 'off-ramp,' and then the DOJ - the institutional equivalent of a piss-drunk driver - slammed the gas and aimed for the playground. Now the White House, which absolutely fucking loves this outcome, gets to whine about 'weaponization' with a straight face, as if they weren’t the silent, grinning beneficiaries of the whole clown show. Everyone involved is a prick, from the agents who documented their concerns but still executed the warrant, to the lawyers who ignored them, to the political hacks now milking it for outrage. It’s a symphony of shittiness where the only probable cause was a terminal case of institutional vanity. They weren’t protecting national security; they were protecting their own asses and ambitions, and they did it with the precision of a drunkard trying to key a car with a spoon. What a pack of useless, posturing cunts. The whole operation was less a law enforcement action and more a group of government dickheads playing the world’s most expensive game of 'fuck around and find out,' with the taxpayers footing the bill for the dry-cleaning when they inevitably shit their own pants. Fuck every last one of them. This is your government at work: a pissing contest where the only thing getting soaked is the Constitution. Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. They tracked his family's travel like jealous exes because their legal case was thinner than the paper their worthless warrant was printed on.
