Fairshake Crypto PAC Dumps Millions on 32 House Flunkies After Bill Dies

Fairshake and its PACs sit on $120 million and will blast six candidates with $1 million each plus undisclosed sums for 26 more, all because Senate Democrats blocked the CLARITY Act in September while the group already torched nearly $30 million chasing Sherrod Brown.

The facts

The cryptocurrency political organization Fairshake announced it will support 32 House candidates in the upcoming November elections, comprising 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats. Six of these candidates are slated to receive $1 million each in campaign spending from Fairshake, while the amounts for the other 26 candidates were not disclosed. All 32 supported legislation that the cryptocurrency industry has prioritized. This announcement follows the Senate Democrats' decision in September to block the CLARITY Act, which aimed to create a federal regulatory framework for digital assets. Fairshake also previously declared its intention to spend nearly $30 million against Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown. At the close of August, Fairshake and its affiliated PACs reported having about $120 million in available funds.

Our take

Fairshake just proved the only thing slower than crypto regulation is their own brains when Senate Democrats killed the CLARITY Act and the PACs responded by hurling cash at 32 House candidates like drunks tossing singles at a strip club.

Nineteen Republicans and thirteen Democrats get the treatment because every single one of them already kissed the ring on industry legislation. Six lucky bastards each score a full million while the other twenty-six wait for whatever scraps fall off the table. That is not support. That is a fucking purchase order.

The same outfit that bragged about nearly thirty million aimed at Sherrod Brown now sits on one hundred twenty million in reserves and decides the best use is buying future yes-men in the House. Nothing says principled advocacy like carpet-bombing both parties the moment one chamber tells you no.

Every candidate on the list backed the exact regulatory framework Fairshake wants. The moment that framework stalled, the money hose turned on. This is not democracy in action. This is a vending machine that only accepts Bitcoin and spits out politicians.

Fairshake calls it bipartisan. Everyone else calls it the same old shit where a pile of cash walks into Congress and walks out with a receipt. The six million-dollar recipients get the deluxe package. The remaining twenty-six get whatever is left after the big dogs eat. Either way the industry still owns the paper.

The CLARITY Act is dead in the Senate for now so Fairshake spends like the money will burn a hole in the PACs' pockets. One hundred twenty million says the group has no intention of waiting for actual lawmaking when it can just rent the lawmakers instead.

That is the entire strategy on display: stall equals spend. Blocked bill equals bigger checks. The public gets another round of candidates who will remember exactly who paid for the yard signs when the next regulatory fight rolls around.
