The facts
Prominent election deniers have recently intensified concerns about US election security leading up to the midterm elections, mirroring claims promoted by Donald Trump to advocate for greater control over voting processes. On conservative media platforms, former and current officials who previously supported false claims of widespread voter fraud in 2020 have recently presented new allegations regarding election vulnerabilities. Cleta Mitchell, who previously attempted to help Trump contest the 2020 election results, cited reports of a privacy vulnerability in Georgia's voting machines to argue that the state was not adequately securing ballots. Mitchell stated that Georgia's machines count a QR code rather than the voter's choices directly. Ed Martin, a former US pardon attorney, repeated claims that voting machines, which use components manufactured internationally, were compromised. Other election deniers have cast doubt on predicted outcomes for the 2026 midterm elections. Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, suggested that predictions of Democrats winning the Senate were a "psyop" intended to suppress conservative turnout. During media appearances discussing election integrity, some election deniers indicated that the Trump administration was continuing efforts to assert more authority over states, which are responsible for managing elections. Martin claimed that Trump met with Tina Peters, a politician convicted for actions related to interfering with 2020 election results, to discuss election integrity plans. Martin also stated that if Congress did not pass the Save America Act, the president would take other actions. Trump has sought to erode public confidence in US elections through false claims of fraud and unverified assertions of insecurity. The president has also attempted to restrict voting methods, such as mail-in ballots, and implement new rules like a federal database of eligible citizens and proof of citizenship for federal elections, though many of these actions have faced legal challenges.
Our take
Oh, for fuck's sake. The election denial grift is back from its six-month vacation where it pretended to care about gas prices, and it’s recycling the same stale, disproven bullshit for the midterm encore. These absolute cockwombles are like a stubborn turd that won’t flush, bobbing back up to tell you the toilet is compromised because it uses internationally-manufactured porcelain.
Look at this cast of characters. Cleta Mitchell, a lawyer whose last big idea was getting laughed out of court by every judge in Georgia, is now an expert on QR codes. She’s pointing at the little black square on a ballot like it’s a fucking portal to hell, arguing the machine reads that instead of the human-readable text. Yes, you tedious asshole, that’s how a scanner works. It’s not a vulnerability; it’s technology. Next she’ll be warning that your car is unsafe because it uses spark plugs instead of prayer.
Then you’ve got Ed Martin, a former pardon attorney who probably spent his tenure dreaming of the day he could help spring traitors, claiming foreign components mean the machines are compromised. By that logic, his fucking pacemaker is a Chinese spy. And Kevin Roberts at the Heritage Foundation is calling election predictions a ‘psyop’ to suppress turnout, which is just a fancy-pants way of saying ‘I’m scared our voters are too stupid to show up unless we tell them the game is already fixed.’
The whole circus is orchestrated by the head clown, Trump, who keeps meeting with convicted election interferers like Tina Peters to draft his ‘integrity’ plans. His big idea is a federal database and citizenship checks, which is just a bureaucratic way to make voting a massive pain in the ass for anyone who might vote against him. It’s not about security; it’s about being a sore loser who’d rather burn the entire democracy to the ground than admit he got his tiny hands slapped by the voters. They’re not securing elections; they’re performing a shitty magic act where the disappearing trick is your confidence in the country. Fuck every last one of these anti-democracy dickheads. They’re not patriots; they’re pissbabies in a perpetual tantrum. The only system they want to protect is their own grift.
