The facts
On October 13, 2026, House Oversight Chairman James Comer wrote to Keya Chatterjee, the executive director of Free DC, to open an investigation into what the letter calls “politicized jury nullification initiatives” in the District of Columbia. The committee wants documents and communications covering January 1, 2025 to the present, delivered no later than October 27, 2026.
According to the letter, Free DC, in coordination with Harriet's Wildest Dreams, has held jury nullification training sessions to teach potential jurors how to navigate juror vetting and subvert lawful prosecutions. At an August 12 training, Qiana Johnson, who sits on the board of Harriet's Wildest Dreams and serves as a “conductor of legal defense” for the group, told attendees: “[y]ou have this superpower, and that superpower is you are able to nullify that goddamn jury.”
The letter describes a July 15, 2026 session where the groups discussed how to “influence outcomes to help create a more equitable legal process.” It quotes the session's advertisement telling prospective jurors they can “use that role to protect our people especially those with marginalized identities.” The trainings instruct attendees to present themselves, falsely, as unbiased and to hide ties to prison abolitionist groups during jury selection. A partner organization, Freedom Trainers, told trainees to “get on a jury to vote [their] conscience,” adding: “never mention jury nullification. Don’t signal the agenda.”
Comer's letter also says Johnson claimed that a juror in the prosecution of former Justice Department employee Sean Dunn likely attended one of the trainings. Dunn was charged with misdemeanor assault for throwing food at a law enforcement officer and was acquitted after a seven-hour jury deliberation. Johnson reportedly said one goal of the trainings is to undermine prosecutions brought by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and other federal prosecutors: “[t]hat is what Jeanine Pirro is absolutely afraid of…that is what the lawyers in Luigi [Mangione’s] case is absolutely afraid of, because that power belongs to the people.” The letter adds that Free DC is fiscally sponsored by organizations financed by left-wing dark money groups.
Our take
Let's get this straight: these cunts set up a whole fucking school to teach people how to commit perjury and sabotage trials, and their main piece of operational security was to give the whole scheme a name that sounds like a fucking community college night class. The 'Juror Information Project Teach-In Series' is the most pathetic fucking cover for a jury-tampering ring imaginable. It's like calling a bank robbery a 'Currency Redistribution Field Trip.' You cannot be this stupid and this arrogant at the same time without being a complete fucking asshole.
The curriculum is a masterpiece of self-owning bullshit. Their top-secret, never-mention-it rule is 'never mention jury nullification. Don’t signal the agenda.' So what do they do? They get Qiana Johnson, a fucking 'conductor of legal defense' - which is the most pretentious, useless title since 'thought leader' - to stand up at an August training and scream the agenda into a microphone. 'You have this superpower, and that superpower is you are able to nullify that goddamn jury.' That's not a teach-in, that's a confession. That's writing your own fucking subpoena in real time. They built a secret club and then put up billboards with the secret handshake.
And then, because these dickheads cannot help themselves, they reportedly start connecting their own bullshit to actual cases. Johnson allegedly claimed a juror who acquitted a guy for throwing food at a cop probably went to their little lying seminar. So not only are they running a scheme to fuck with the justice system, they're using acquittals as fucking marketing material. 'Come to our class, you too can help a prick avoid consequences!' It's the most brazen, self-sabotaging grift in the history of grifts. They're so proud of their 'superpower' they're handing the evidence of their conspiracy to Congress on a silver fucking platter.
Now James Comer, a man who understands political theater if nothing else, is asking for every document, email, and fucking attendance sheet by October 27. He's following the money trail from 'left-wing dark money groups' to these activist dickheads. The whole pipeline is a joke: secret cash pays for nonprofits that pay for 'conductors' to teach people to lie under oath to 'protect our people.' It's a circle jerk of ideological vanity where the only rule of law they give a shit about is the one they can nullify. They wanted to be superheroes of the courtroom, but they're just a bunch of clowns who wrote their own indictment because they couldn't stop bragging. Good luck finding an impartial jury when your potential pool is a mailing list of people trained to say whatever the fuck they need to say to get on a panel and wreck it from the inside. The whole thing is a piss-stain on the idea of a fair trial.
