The facts
Bayern Munich secured a resounding 6-1 victory against RB Leipzig, marking a strong return to form after a frustrating week. The team had faced criticism for conceding early goals in recent matches, including the Bundesliga's fastest goal at Augsburg and a quick opener in Stavanger. Manager Vincent Kompany was absent from the touchline due to illness and a hip problem, with sporting director Max Eberl explaining his absence. Luis Díaz was the standout performer for Bayern, scoring a hat-trick. He opened the scoring in the 12th minute and added two more goals in the second half. The win was described as a "carnage" by the publisher, with Leipzig's goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt performing creditably to prevent an even larger defeat. The victory places Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga table, ahead of Borussia Dortmund on goal difference. The team's performance is seen as crucial preparation for their upcoming match against Arsenal, a fixture that holds significance given Bayern's defeat to Arsenal last season. Max Eberl stated, We have memories of that game, and we want to translate those memories into energy this Wednesday.
Our take
Oh, for fuck's sake. Let's all stand and applaud the mighty Bayern Munich, a squad of cunts so cosmically overpaid they need a fucking map and a team of Sherpas to locate their own talent, for finally remembering how to do their jobs. They beat RB Leipzig 6-1 in what the publisher calls a 'carnage,' which is just a fancy word for a rich kid finally figuring out how to use the can opener on a tin of already-dead fish. This is the same collection of preening dickheads who, just last week, were getting their assholes punctured by the Bundesliga's fastest goal and looking about as coherent as a dog shitting razorblades in some Norwegian backwater. But sure, throw a parade because they managed to bully the league's designated punching bag, a club whose entire reason for being is to get financially doped and then beaten up by the establishment.
The only person who deserves a shred of credit is Leipzig's goalkeeper, Maarten Vandevoordt, who 'performed creditably' while his teammates executed a tactical masterplan of standing around like soggy cardboard cutouts. He's the poor bastard trying to bail out a sinking ship with a fucking teacup, the sole human barrier between a 6-1 scoreline and a genuine war crime. Meanwhile, the genius architect of this Bayern 'renaissance,' manager Vincent Kompany, was nowhere to be found. Too ill, you see. And with a hip problem. What a spectacularly convenient fucking ailment, you absolute fraud. Couldn't even limp to the touchline to watch your overpriced mercenaries finally execute the bare minimum. Instead, sporting director Max Eberl had to stand there and explain the manager's absence, which is like the company's PR flack explaining why the CEO is too busy getting his balls waxed to attend the shareholder meeting.
And then this prick Eberl has the gall to start waxing poetic about 'memories' of losing to Arsenal last season and wanting to 'translate those memories into energy.' What in the holy fuck does that even mean? Is the 'energy' stored in the giant, gaping hole where their spines used to be? Is it the kinetic force generated by their collective sphincters slamming shut at the first sign of actual pressure? It's the kind of meaningless, inspirational-boardroom-bullshit you spew when your only recent accomplishment is kicking the shit out of a glorified training dummy. Luis Díaz got a hat-trick, which is lovely for his fantasy stats, but scoring against a defense that offered the resistance of a wet paper bag is about as impressive as a shark eating a guppy.
Now they're top of the table on goal difference, which in the Bundesliga is like being the tallest midget in the village. It proves precisely fuck-all except that in a league they've financially suffocated for a decade, they can still occasionally stumble into a win. This wasn't a statement of intent. It was a desperate, pathetic plea for relevance - a bunch of bastards giving themselves a gold star for finally coloring inside the lines. It prepares them for Arsenal about as well as playing tic-tac-toe prepares you for thermonuclear war. Enjoy the smell of your own desperate, sweaty bullshit, you clowns. The only 'carnage' here is the one you're about to experience when a real team shows up.
